CIO Round Table
Since 2014, the CIO Round Table has encouraged the networking of IT executives as well as the interlocking of practice and research in the upper Franconian region. Therefore, the event aims at IT managers from medium-sized companies in the region as well as IT experts from academia.
The Project Group Business & Information Systems Engineering of the Fraunhofer FIT, which is represented by five professors from the University of Bayreuth, organizes the CIO Round Table twice a year. Furthermore, the Association of the “Betriebswirtschaftliches Forschungszentrum für Fragen der mittelständischen Wirtschaft” (BF/M), the Institute of Information Systems at Hof University, and the Lamilux Heinrich Strunz Holding GmbH & Co. KG are involved in the organization to allow a regular exchange on important and current topics of IT and Digitalization. To reach all IT managers in the region equally, the event takes places at changing locations. As a result, the CIO Round Table fosters regional networking and stimulates innovative future-oriented cooperation. In order to achieve the mentioned objectives, the participants discuss current topics of IT management and Digitalization at each event based on practice-oriented as well as scientific talks and intensify the dialogue and their network in the subsequent get-together.
